Saivin Ericsson and Tony Antony scored off in two half. The St. Joseph’s HSS capitalized on their set-pieces in the first half, something the team found success with throughout the regular season. 9 minutes left before halftime, Jaison Patrick was fouled on the right edge of the penalty area, setting up set piece by Hashir for Saivin and Co. Saivin perfectly headed the ball into the goal net and St. Joseph’s took lead on the 25th minute. The start of the second half, 48th minute of the game Tony Antony converted the second goal from a beautiful cut back by Emmanual J. Adolf.

Sabin Januaries and Emmanual J. Adolf missed many chances in front of goal, including crosses from the right and left flanks that ricocheted off the post and barely missed connecting with the strikers for a goal. St. Joseph’s finished the game with 2-0 win and moved into quarterfinals.
